Can I sue them for emotional damages???
This past week has been an emotional roller coaster. One minute I was sad my husband was leaving, one minute I was proud and excited for him, and the next minute I was frustrated. Thursday afternoon came and I kissed my husband bye for what I thought would 2 mths. He drove up to Atlanta to stay with my brother so he would be closer to the base since he had to check in at 10am. He called to check in that night and before leaving for the base, and I didn't cry...I wouldn't let myself fall apart in front of the kids. He surprised me and called me just before checking in, and I lost it and had to step out of the classroom for a few minutes. I was overwhelmed that this was the last time I would hear his voice for the next two months, and the panic of being away from him overcame me. Throughout the day I tried to relax and not think about him, but he was always in my thoughts. That night I went out with my friends from work, and did the best I could to relax and have fun. I spent my 2nd night alone, hoping it would get easier.
Then came the phone call at 7am that would change everything. The emotions I experienced next were anger and sadness. My husband called with the news that he had BARELY missed one of the requirements (and I mean JUST BARELY) and they had sent him home. I have never heard my husband sound so upset, and it broke my heart for him. He was frustrated that he had worked so hard to only be sent him before he even got started training.
So, I don't know what the future holds for us as for as the Army goes, but I know that we just have to trust in the Lord and know that things happened like they did because He has a bigger plan for our family. I pray that the Lord shut all doors that need to be shut, and show us to the ones we need to go through. At the end of the day I am happy to have my husband home, but sad that he is hurting.

Military Wife....life is changing
On Friday the hubby will be leaving for OCS in Alabama. He will be there until March 17th...this will be the longest we have ever been apart. The kids are going to miss their daddy and I am going to miss my hubby. I love having him around at the end of the day. He listens when I need to complain, and gives me advice when I need it. He helps with the kids when I need a few minutes to myself. Our life together started with one tragic event after the other, and then life finally settled in to a routine, and found that life is what you make of it. Good times or bad times we have learned to be there for each other. So when he came to me and said he felt the calling to join the National Guard, I knew I had to support his decision just like he supported mine to go back to school to become a teacher. I know it will be hard when he is gone, but we will make the best of it, and it will all be worth it in the end.
I love you hubby and know you will do awesome!!!

Is it Spring yet?
It has been too long since my last post. The kids, work, school, and Ryan keep me busy. The kids are growing up too fast, and I am trying to enjoy every minute of it. Alexas will be 9 years old soon, and she is such a little lady!

Landon is my big 3 year old man! He weighs about 35lbs and is a little over 3 feet tall. He is all boy and into everything. He loves to play ball and play with his Woody and Buzz.

We went to Snow Mountain for Winter Break, and the kids a blast!! It was not at all cold that day, was in the low 70's and we were actually sweating playing in the snow.

Ryan will be headed to Jacksonville in the next few weeks to swear in a member of the National Guard, and become an officer candidate. It is something he really wants to do, and he is very excited but nervous. I am nervous about it, but know that it is what he wants to do.
I will be finishing up with my Specialist degree in July, and am looking forward to being done with school for good!
Until next time...

10 years together!
On August 18th Ryan and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. The past 10 years have flown by!! Our lives have changed so much in these 10 years. We have both changed careers, had 2 babies, watched his mom recover from a horrible accident and mine recover from a massive stroke, bought a house, bought too many vehicles, Ryan has had 2 surgeries...But overall LIFE IS GREAT! I am so blessed to have found a husband that loves me and our children, and provides for our family. He is a man that is the leader of our family, and always tries to do what is best for us.
To celebrate our anniversary we took a trip to Savannah over the weekend without the kids. We had a great time, and I think the kids had just as much fun at home staying with my mom and Nanny!
I pray that Ryan and I have many, many more happy years together!
